וְאֵ֨ת נֹ֤ב עִיר־הַכֹּֽהֲנִים֙ הִכָּ֣ה לְפִי־חֶ֔רֶב מֵאִישׁ֙ וְעַד־אִשָּׁ֔ה מֵעוֹלֵ֖ל וְעַד־יוֹנֵ֑ק וְשׁ֧וֹר וַחֲמ֛וֹר וָשֶׂ֖ה לְפִי־חָֽרֶב׃
Und Nob, die Stadt der Priester, schlug ihn mit der Schärfe des Schwertes, Männer und Frauen, Kinder und Säuglinge, Ochsen und Esel und Schafe mit der Schärfe des Schwertes.

לא חמור אחד מהם נשאתי . The prophet Samuel also made a similar statement when he challenged the people asking "whose donkey have I taken, etc." (Samuel I 22,19)? I have elaborated on the lessons to be learned from theses statements in my commentary on מסכת ראש השנה.
